Preparing Your New Humidor

Now that you've made your purchase, make sure your money is put to good use!  Simply placing your cigars in your new humidor will not get you the results you might expect.  When you receive your humidor it will be very dry.  There are a couple of reasons for this.

The first reason is that most of our humidors are lined with Spanish cedar.  Manufacturers of these humidors want the wood to dry out at first because Spanish cedar has the tendency to release sap.  By drying out the wood, the chance of that happening is nearly zero.  Secondly, without proper care the wood inside of a humidor will naturally dry out.  Your humidor has most likely been in shipping and storage for a quite a while so it has dried out over time.

Preparing your humidor will ensure that your cigars maintain their quality and are at their freshest at all times.  So if you're having drinks with friends or betting on partybets or a similar website, you know that they will be perfect for you.  Follow the steps outlined below for the best results.  It does take a little bit of time and effort but it will be worth it in the long run!

Step 1: Calibrate your Hygrometer
Step 2: Charge your Humidor
Step 3: Charge the Humidifier
