Use either distilled water or a mixture of distilled water and propylene glycol (activator solution) to wet the humidifier.  The humidifier should be quite wet but not soaking, you don’t want to have water dripping from it.  A good way to control this is the place it on a paper towel after wetting it.  Any excess liquid should get absorbed by the paper towel.  Place the humidifier back in the humidor.

Close your humidor and let it sit over night.  Take a hygrometer reading.  If the humidity levels are below 65% put some more water in your glass and leave it for another day.  Once your hygrometer reads between 68-72% you're ready to start storing your cigars in your new humidor.

The whole process could take a few days so be patient!  It's worth the wait!
